Meet Tom Williamson, DC
My name is Dr. Tom Williamson, DC and I am excited to be joining the team as a chiropractor starting August 17th. My usual days are Tuesday and Thursday evenings (1:30 to 6:30 p.m.) and when Dr. Pond is out of town or has an event with his boys.
I attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR and started practicing in Seattle at the start of 1992. The combination of active participation in your well-being and some chiropractic care as needed has resulted in some amazing results.
My other skills are in cabinetmaking and carpentry as I spent 17 years as a union carpenter on Seattle/Bellevue commercial projects. The benefits of chiropractic care kept me working more often than not even with a very physical job. Same thing goes for those of you in the trades that depend on having full use of a healthy body. Desk jobs have their own unique problems that respond well to the learning of new exercise routines and specific adjustments.
My personal hobbies are long distance road cycling and swimming. Since college days there has been a road bike in my life taking me as far as Strathcona Provincial Park near Campbell River on Vancouver Island, B.C. Awesome areas near Seattle for those members interested to start exploring together on a regularly scheduled group ride and training would be a personal goal for us to create. Or if you’d want some swimming for cardio-vascular benefits talk to me about the Master’s Programs that I attend. Finally, I love vegetable/fruit gardening at home so if there is a semi-load of zucchini at the gym it was my way of being green.
Maintaining a regular physical activity is essential to creating a foundation that allows the body to handle the stresses of work. That applies not only physical but also mental stress that is carried along often as a extra weight and can keep you from enjoying life to the max.
Hope to see you and help with those personal goals you set and maybe even raise the bar!!.
