Corrective Exercise
Corrective Exercise at SMNW goes by many names such as Rehab Exercise and "Physical Therapy performed by a chiropractor".
Our rehab exercise prescriptions differ from other clinics. You will not show up here and have a new assistant working with you every session.
Your corrective exercises are specifically designed to match your biomechanics and to solidify in your movement patterns the biomechanical improvements that you achieve through the manual therapies you receive here. That is one of the benefits of having your Board Certified Sports Chiropractor designing your corrective exercise routine.
Our Rehab prescriptions typically begin with foundational movements and postures designed to build strength and mobility in ways that reinforce improved movement and postures thus decreasing pain. For those that chose to do so, we also carry on the rehab exercise beyond the symptomatic phase to develop strength and durability. Many of our patients appreciate when their provider addresses the movements they do in the gym to dial in the efficiency of the technique and movements that they already do. That is what we call "Strength as Medicine."
