A.C.E. Ring Dinger Table from Hill Labs

Folks have been wondering and asking about the addition of this new beautiful and strange table to the clinic.

The Ring Dinger® Technique landed on my radar 4 months ago when several of my patients began sending me outrageous viral videos of people having miraculous results from Ring Dinger® treatments. As a favor to them, I did my due diligence which turned out to be neither simple nor easy.  Up to that point there was not a single practitioner certified in the Ring Dinger® Technique in Seattle or in the state of Washington.  The originator of the technique, Dr. Gregory Johnson keeps a tight circle and thoroughly vets his students.  In his 42 years of practicing and teaching the Ringer Dinger technique he has only certified 35 practitioners world wide in his Technique.  My attempt at "due diligence" led me down a rabbit hole that went all the way down to Houston, Texas and the fountainhead and originator of the technique, Dr. Greg Johnson.  As with all new modalities at SMNW, I am patient zero and for this I am a tough target.

Dr. Pond's Very Compressed Spine

Many of you may remember last October when I was unable to stand upright for any period of time.  You could call it severe spinal compressive trauma.  I called it "empathy training".  I pushed it a bit hard and suffered the sort of severe nerve pain that I've had the pleasure to help many of you with. My low back injury came on the heels of a long dehydrated drive sandwiched between two layers of violent Olympic lifting and equally violent Jiu Jitsu sparring. The result:

Dr. Pond's Lumbar mri

  • Multiple vertebral endplate fractures (Schmorl's Nodes)
  • A pars interarticularis fracture (Spondylolisthesis)
  • Multiple Disk herniations including that nasty desiccated L4-5 segment
  • What was the worst though was the L3-4 segment herniation which put enough pressure on the L4 nerve root that my right quadricep spasmed for 3 days then went into paralysis and atrophy.

I have successfully fully recovered from this injury, but I lost some height in the process and I have had to eliminate some the spinal compression hobbies such as deadlifting and barbell backsquats.

I experienced profound healing at the hands of Dr. Greg Johnson with his Ring Dinger Technique.  After 3 days spent observing people coming to him from all around the world, arriving in pain and leaving symptom-free, I left Houston 3 days later Certified in the Ring Dinger Technique. I had regained a 1/4 inch of height I had lost to my low back injuries.  Since that treatment series, my body feels different. I no longer notice my upper back tension, I feel comfortable sitting and standing more upright and I've even begun to deadlift and squat again. I am very grateful to have received this technique and I look forward to sharing the benefits with you.

Questions and Answers

Q: "Is this safe?"
A: The safety of this Y-Axis vector is what makes this technique so special. Due to the durability in this line of drive, the trained practitioner can safely administer a tremendous amount of motion to the spine without stressing the vulnerable vascular or neurologic structures.
(as an example, I often compare bending a stick to pulling on opposite ends tug of war style. Even a thin and brittle structure such as a dry twig is extremely durable along its Y axis.

Q: "Is there a recovery time?"
A: No. It is best to get right back into normal and ideal motion right away.

Q: "Did you just make this up?"
A: No. Dr. Johnson has been using this method for 42 years in clinical practice and I am now one of 36 people world wide certified to practice the Ring Dinger Technique, and the only practitioner of the Ring Dinger in Seattle Washington.

Q: "Is everyone a candidate for Ring Dinger care?"
A: No. There are important screening criteria.

Q: "Now are you just Dr. McRingdinger and only do Ring Dingers all day and no longer do anything else?  Just Ring-dingalinging all day then and well into the night?"
A: No. We've added this technique and still do everything else.

Q:  "Is the Ring Dinger® treatment covered by insurance?

A:  No.  This technique is considered "spinal decompression therapy" in the state of Washington.  Cash rates apply:  Normal prices are $750 for a complete Ring Dinger series of 3 treatments.

Q: "How do I book an appointment?"
A: Click this REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT link and mention "Ring Dinger Promo" in the text field and the staff will reach out directly and schedule your appointment with me.

Yours in Resilience,
